C&T seminar on HR Tech: Bridging the Recruitment Gap and Shaping the Future of Work

October 20, 2023

In the changing business landscape of post-COVID and the economic slowdown of recent years, finding the right talent has never been more important. The recruitment gap is a widely discussed issue in the HR industry. Leo Siu, Head of HRMS at C&T and Simpson Cheung, Head of Business Development at JobsDB addressed the topic in the seminar, “HR Tech: Bridging the Recruitment Gap and Shaping the Future of Work”. The seminar, held in collaboration with JobsDB, offered great insights into solving problems with HR Tech.

Globalisation and the hypermobility of talent mean that companies are looking not just locally but overseas for talent. Simpson Cheung painted a picture of the current recruitment environment with his expert knowledge. Recruiters and HR professionals gained insight into the minds of job seekers and what might help attract the right talent to their businesses. Finding the right HR technology partners can help keep talent and prevent brain drain while attracting new talent to sustain business growth. As a reliable technology partner to many Hong Kong enterprises, C&T has extensive experience in the field.

By dissecting the issues into key parts of the employee life cycle, Leo Siu gave an informative presentation on how C&T’s human resources management software IPL HRMS can tackle recruitment, retention, and reporting during the seminar. The all-around IPL HRMS solution can allow the tracking of talent and identification or even prediction of staffing gaps which is vital in human resource planning. Features such as remote clocking and workforce planning will become standard in the future of work and HR. Seminar participants were able to glimpse into coming developments of HRMS software thanks to Leo’s sharing.

C&T hopes to continue to collaborate with excellent partners like JobsDB to showcase the possibilities of different technologies across different industries.
